Terms and Conditions

1. Identity of the Provider

The services described herein are provided by Lapin Vaellushevoset Oy, a company duly registered and operating in Finland (hereinafter referred to as “the Provider”). The Provider organizes and conducts guided horseback riding tours in Äkäslompolo.

2. Applicability

2.1 These Terms and Conditions govern all bookings, reservations, and participations in activities offered by the Provider.
2.2 By making a booking, the customer (“Participant”) expressly agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
2.3 Deviations from these Terms and Conditions are only valid if expressly agreed to in writing by the Provider.

3. Bookings and Payment

3.1 Reservations may be made via the Provider’s website, by email, through a tour operator, or by telephone.
3.2 A booking shall be deemed accepted and binding only upon written confirmation issued by the Provider.
3.3 Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all payments are due in advance of the scheduled activity.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

4.1 A cancellation made by the Participant more than seven (7) days prior to the scheduled ride shall not incur any charge.
4.2 A cancellation made within seven (7) days but more than forty-eight (48) hours prior to the scheduled ride shall incur a cancellation fee equal to fifty percent (50%) of the total price.
4.3 A cancellation made within forty-eight (48) hours prior to the scheduled ride, or a failure to appear, shall result in forfeiture of one hundred percent (100%) of the total price.
4.4 In the event the Provider cancels the ride due to force majeure (including but not limited to extreme weather conditions, illness of horses, or illness of guides), the Participant shall be entitled to a full refund of all amounts paid. No further claims shall be entertained.

5. Safety and Participation Requirements

5.1 Participation is strictly at the Participant’s own risk.
5.2 The Provider shall take all reasonable measures to ensure the safety of activities, but the Participant remains responsible for their own conduct.
5.3 All safety instructions issued by the Provider or its guides must be followed at all times. Failure to do so may result in immediate exclusion from the activity without refund.
5.4 Participants must be in good health and physically capable of undertaking the activity. The Provider reserves the right to refuse participation to any person whose health, behavior, or condition may, in the Provider’s sole discretion, pose a risk to themselves, other participants, or the animals.
5.5 The consumption of alcohol or drugs prior to or during the activity is strictly prohibited.

6. Liability and Insurance

6.1 The Provider shall not be held liable for loss of, theft of, or damage to the Participant’s personal property.
6.2 The Provider’s liability for damages is limited to the extent required under applicable Finnish law.
6.3 Participation is at the Participant’s own risk. The Provider strongly advises Participants to obtain appropriate travel, accident, and/or personal liability insurance prior to participation.

7. Complaints

7.1 Any complaints must be reported to the Provider without undue delay, thereby allowing the Provider the opportunity to remedy the situation.
7.2 Failure to notify the Provider promptly may affect the Participant’s ability to claim a remedy or compensation.

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

8.1 These Terms and Conditions shall be governed exclusively by and construed in accordance with the laws of Finland.
8.2 Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions, or the services provided hereunder, shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Finland.
